| earth! *geez*Back then, the internet was

| | still hurts. I require an operation on my
|
| limited in what it had to offer. I would

| | right knee. Fifty now feels more like

| also like to mention that every page

| | seventy!The accident put a halt to

| opened instantly. I used the internet as
| |
| | website work. I couldn't sit for very
|
| a venue for research. I still use it for
| |
| | long without severe pain. My lower back
|
| research, but more for shopping and

| | and neck were hurting all the time. I

| selling.Hey! Don't laugh... I had an Adam

| | would wake up at times with very little
|
| Computer too! *humpf*In mid January 2005,

| | feeling in my arms or legs. I was not

| I found Overstock... not by chance mind

| | fairing well at all!In mid July, I once

| months to talk me into trying Overstock.

| January.... I would love to say that I

| sell more than I buy, however, that

| | research... some more reading and

| doesn't seem to be the case. So there I

| | research... some crying... and more
|
| was, sitting on over $20,000 worth of

| | reading and more crying and more

| beads and beading supplies selling them

| | research... The word PAL in Paypal has
|
| at about $2 per pack on Overstock... not
| |
| | nothing to do with the setting up of its
|
| taking into consideration the listing
| |
| | shopping cart! I was becoming more and
|
| fees or the paypal fees....making about
| |
| | more frustrated... but again.... I forged
|
| 20 cents per pack. WOW.... Talk about a
| |
| | ahead.After much deliberation and many
|
| get rich quick scheme!I started listing
| |
| | failed attempts.... I finally weeded
|
| even more... still not adjusting my
| |
| | through the poorly written instructions
|
| prices... that was what people wanted to
| |
| | and managed to get the cart to work... on
|
| pay... so either make the nickel or
| |
| | ONE item. WOW.... only about 1,000 more
|
| not.... January reaped just over $500 in
| |
| | to go! *HA* After reading and researching
|
| sales... February jumped to $1,500...
| |
| | this phenomena, I realized that I had
|
| March jumped even further... $2,400...
| |
| | used the wrong cart set up and somehow
|
| April hit an all time $3K in
| |
| | managed to hook up over 100 items in much
|
| sales....Then I joined the buySAFE
| |
| | the same fashion. WRONG!So... after
|
| bonding service. I thought that since I
| |
| | crying some more and relieving my scalp
|
| had so many valued customers, I would
| |
| | of a few swatches of hair, I once again
|
| return some of that value to them and
| |
| | forged ahead. I re-programmed all of the
|
| bond my products. Fortunately.... the
| |
| | wrong items with what I hoped was the
|
| service was free through September 2005.

| | corrected shopping cart programming.ALAS!
|
| But it did NOTHING... absolutely NOTHING
| |
| | Low and behold... they were working!
|
| for my sales!In reality... my sales
| |
| | WOOOOO HOOOOO!

| plummeted! By the end of May... I felt

| | Halleluia...Halleluia...Halleluia...Halle

| doomed! I picked up two new customers....

| and heard barely a dribble from the

| | leeee...eeee...eeee...Luuuu...ia~

| rest.... my sales for May were a whopping

| $382! Where did all my customers go?!?!?

| | what I really need you to do is THROW

| What was I doing wrong?!?!?With all this

| | MONEY!Now I was cruising... hooking up
|
| in mind... back in March of this year, I

| | each and every individual item to this
|
| decided to give my own ecommerce site a
| |
| | shopping cart contraption... MY PAL... my
|
| try. Don't get me wrong... at first I
| |
| | buddy... my GOD! I sent out my mass
|
| thought it was merely a pipe dream. After
| |
| | mailing to almost 350 of my regular
|
| all.... I paid for three years of
| |
| | customers announcing the GRAND OPENING
|
| webhosting back in March and it took
| |
| | OF... BEADSELLER on August 18, 2005. FREE
|
| until the middle of August to finally
| |
| | SHIPPING offered to the first 10
|
| have a website up and running!In
| |
| | completed orders!I picked this particular
|
| February, 2005, I started out with
| |
| | day to open because first... it was the
|
| shopping around to find the least
| |
| | soonest I could get the site done... and
|
| expensive hosting site. Alas, I found
| |
| | second... it happened to be my son's 29th
|
| Ace-host.net with 5,000 MB of Disk Space,
| |
| | birthday and I wanted the date to be
|
| 50 GB Monthly Bandwidth, (which has been
| |
| | something I would remember.Here I am open
|
| expanded to 100 GB), Unlimited MySQL
| |
| | for business... sitting at my computer...
|
| Databases, eMail Accounts, FTP Accounts,
| |
| | email open... sitting... watching...
|
| Sub-Domains, and a Static IP Address
| |
| | sitting... watching.... watching...
|
| included. All for only $139.50 for three
| |
| | sitting... NOTHING.Three days go by....
|
| years.If you asked me to explain the
| |
| | still...NOTHING. I feel a distinctive
|
| above, all I would say is, I haven't a
| |
| | sinking feeling in the pit of my
|
| clue what any of that really means, but I
| |
| | stomach... or maybe this feeling came
|
| can tell you that my site never crashes.

| | from the fact that I had not moved from
|
| *laughing*Next came the HTML HELL. The
| |
| | my chair in three days! Finally... on the
|
| last time I actually wrote any HTML was
| |
| | fourth day... a sale!!! I might add...
|
| about 8 years ago, when HTML was just

| | the shipping on this sale cost me almost
|
| that.... HTML. Nothing fancy. Actually,
| |
| | as much as what was purchased! Well...
|
| it was pretty easy to learn. I was self
| |
| | not making money is why I do this right?

| taught then but the book was ohhhhhh so

| much thinner than the newer models!So, I

| produce my own site.Well...If you haven't

| | that allow you to submit your website for
|
| looked...my site is BEADSELLER. I

| | FREE! One place I did manage to find was

| purchased a template for $49 and

| | SUBMIT EXPRESS. Keep in mind...it is VERY
|
| proceeded from there. What I didn't know

| | TRUE that NOTHING is FREE! But at least
|
| when I purchased the template was that it
| |
| | their required link was not nearly as
|
| was not written in language compatible

| | unsightly as some!One of the things I
